Guide: Carliv Touch Custom Recovery For MyPhone Ocean Lite

Got a working custom recovery on MyPhone Ocean Lite?

It's been a tough week for me that I haven't made much update with my blog as I was busy programming a system. Going back, have you got custom recovery working on your MyPhone Ocean Lite android smartphone? If not yet, you are lucky to get bumped on this webpage.

Here's CWM-based custom touch recovery for you

For those who are not aware of what type of device you have, Ocean Lite's has a different kind of file system from which the actual Clockworkmod custom recovery do not support officially. That took android developers a hard time to get CWM recovery ported to this kind of Mediatek device. Fortunately, with the work of the great Carliv, thus, made this problem solved amazingly.


How To Flash Carliv Touch Recovery on MyPhone Ocean Lite?


Following this guide, finally, you will be able to install Clockworkmod-based recovery on your MyPhone Ocean Lite. After this, you can flash any flashable mods as much as you want just like using CWM. If you're, it's time to start the flashing. Don't forget to thank Mr. Siong for this contribution bringing Carliv Touch Recovery to Ocean Lite device.

For MTK MobileUncle Tools

Instructions: (Before anything else, PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP)

1. Put the myphone_ocean_lite_ctr.img to your SD Card.
2. Install MTK_Mobile_Uncle_Tools_2.9.5.apk.
3. Open/run MTK Mobile Uncle Tools.
4. Go to Recovery Update.
5. Then select myphone_ocean_lite_ctr.img.
6. There will be pop ups, just choose Yes.

Note: If myphone_ocean_lite_ctr.img doesn't show on Recovery Update, rename it to "recovery", it should be like "recovery.img". If doesn't work, try Rashr - Flash Tool instead of Mobile Uncle Tools.

For Rashr - Flash Tool

Instructions: (Before anything else, PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP)
1. Put the myphone_agua_hail_cwm.img to your SD Card.
2. Install Rashr.apk
3. Open/run Rashr - Flash Tool
4. Press Flash Recovery
5. Then select myphone_ocean_lite_ctr.img.
6. There will be pop ups, just choose the positive buttons xD (Yes, yes).
Note: If myphone_ocean_lite_ctr.img doesn't show on Recovery Update, rename it to "recovery", it should be like "recovery.img". If doesn't work, try the instruction for MTK MobileUncle Tools.

Flash CWM on Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum running Kitkat

Finding out ways how to get Clockworkmod Recovery (CWM) installed on your Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum? Grab the opportunity to finally embed it to your smartphone. Thanks to Eyman Aguilar's share on this blog's comment area, we have now the chance to experience the most popular custom recovery on Omega Spectrum running the latest android version, Kitkat.


NOTE: This is only applicable on Omega Spectrum running Kitkat android version. Following this guide will help you flash CWM recovery via DFU, no root needed here. Special thanks to Eyman Aguilar for contributing this tut.

Disclaimer: Make sure to follow every steps in this tutorial. Failure to do so will results on boot-loop or hard-brick. If there’s a steps you don’t understand, it’s better to ask before you proceed.

1: Download DFU Flasher and extract it.

2: Download the CWM recovery made for Omega Spectrum running Kitkat and move it to the extracted DFU Flasher inside images folder (if other recovery exist, rename it.)

3: Open the Downloaded DFU Flasher.

4: Double-click install_driver.bat. Follow the install wizard.

5: Double-click dfu.exe (don't mind errors, just click OK).

6: Click load and choose recovery.cfg (click OK if there's an error).

7: Click Browse and navigate to the downloaded DFU Flasher open variant folder, double click images.

8: Click Download and click Start.

Now, turn OFF your Omega Spectrum and plug it into your computer via USB Cable.
The DFU Flasher will start by first detecting your Omega Spectrum then it will start flashing.
Wait for the success message then proceed to disconnecting the USB Cable and reinserting the battery.
Enter recovery by holding Volume Up and Power button simultaneously.

1. Open RASHR Flash Tool

2. Choose flash recovery

3. Tap recovery

4. Choose from other storage

5. Look for downloaded CWM

6. Choose this file then flashing will start

7. It will ask you to reboot to recovery choose yes

8. Recovery mode has an image of galaxy s5

9. Choose reboot system now

10. Choose NO twice

11. Done!

For those Infinity users who waited long for the turn on getting their phone's software upgrade, well, the much-awaited and much-unexpected surprise arrives. From the popular Micromax Canvas Knight A350, give way for MyPhone Infinity's Kitkat ROM update!

Getting Kitkat ROM on your MyPhone Infinity | MMX A350


Proceeding, you will learn how to finally get a android 4.4.2 Kitkat ROM upgrade on your MyPhone Infinity through getting it flashed from any custom recovery based on the popular Clockworkmod recovery and TWRP. Without further a do, here's the procedures below.

  • Pre-rooted


Notice From the Contributor:
"Before installing, Back up data and settings using a recommended custom recovery tool, like ClockworkMod (CWM) or TWRP, as it creates a complete image of the existing phone setup. In Recovery, choose Backup and Restore and tap Backup."


Installation: (Credits to Rymoj Serolf)

1. Make sure to get all the things needed.

2. Put "MyPhone_Infinity_Kitkat_V.1" on your Infinity's SD card.

3. Turn OFF your phone then boot to CWM Recovery or any other custom recovery using this keys (Press Power + Volume Down + Volume Up at the same time).

5. Perform Wipe data/Factory reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress)

6. Select Install Zip from sdcard and then click Choose zip from sdcard. Browse to the location of the Kitkat 4.4.2 update for MyPhone Infinity file which you copied earlier to your phone's SD card.

7. After Successful Installation, reboot phone, FIRST BOOT my take time, be patient :)
